busy busy busy!

So fall is here and the brisk air is perfect accompaniment to our brisk pace! As is this Lipton (R) Brisk (R) Lemon Iced Tea (TM) I'm enjoying and talking about for reasons entirely unrelated to sponsorship and financial gain.

It's been way too long since our last update. We're actually working on a ton of fun things at the moment, though the fru-its of our labors will not be publicly apparent for a bit o' time (like a bit o'honey but made with TIME). Here's the haps:

1. We're working on Mantoloking 2.0. What's Mantoloking 2.0, I pretend you ask? Well Jimmy, Mantoloking 2.0 is a major upgrade to last August's Mantoloking 1.0 (formerly known as Mantoloking) that addresses all known issues and introduces major new functional enhancements. You know, like Windows 7!

Seriously, Mantoloking 2.0 is going to be a whole lot of fun. Camry and I are taking the lead on the project, though Adam and Daniel will take part as well. Steve Fisk is back on board, and we're having a ton of fun tracking with Chuck Whittington of namelessnumberheadman! That's all I can say for now.

2. We are working on a music video for Savage Love, to be directed by the immensely talented and undeniably curly-haired Zac Eubank of Aren't We Clever. The production is quite ambitious. I can only say that it involves a Pink Gorilla, Time Travel, and Ink KC's hottest reader.

3. We're writing tons of new songs. So far, there are five that are pretty far along: Perfect Curves, You're The Reason Why, I Guess I'll Never Know, Under Summer Stars, and Monica. I'll post lyrics as soon as they settle down! These five songs will go towards our fourth full length, which we plan to record next summer!

So yeah, that's the deal. That and I'm expecting another baby at any minute! (YAY!) Like I said, life is BRISK! :)

PS: If you want to see some video footage of the new tunes as we work through them, I post up tons of little video clips at our Facebook page!

PPS: I don't actually drink Lipton Brisk Lemon Iced Tea (R, TM), because it's full of high fructose corn syrup, which encourages the reproduction of cancer cells. Just sayin'
